Undergraduate Research Involvement

Undergraduate research assistants are core members of our team. Through their activities in the lab, undergraduate students get hands on experience with the research process, including data collection, data analysis, idea development, and analyzing academic articles. Throughout their time in the lab, students may choose to develop independent research projects that can be presented at conferences and written up for publication.

We encourage and welcome applications from students from underrepresented groups, including students from racial/ethnic minority backgrounds, students with disabilities, and students from financially disadvantaged backgrounds.

  • You can apply to the lab using this link.

  • PSYC 4800 is the entry to undergraduate research at UGA. To enroll in this course, you will need to submit an application to the lab and set up an interview with Dr. Robertson.

Once students have joined the Relationships and Work Lab, they are eligible to take other courses through the lab, including Directed Readings and Thesis Research.

Prospective Ph.D. Students

If you are interested in joining the lab as a Ph.D. student, we encourage you to apply! Ph.D. applications are due annually on December 1. You can read more about our Ph.D. program here. We are also hosting a virtual open house on Monday October 30th 6pm-7pm. You can register here.

Dr. Robertson is planning to accept a student for entry in Fall 2024.
